It has really strong burst. When you're not in hype level 3 your damage isn't very good but you can focus on peeling for teammates until you have your burst back up.GS is one of the most expensive classes. While it is fine to play it without max gear, the absolut top tier damage comes with having everything maxed. Other classes often need some very important tripods and are kinda fine then. Personally, I'd suggest picking a DPS class as your first for the story, getting to Punika and then boosting a support with the Punika pass. With that being said my top 3 picks for highest DPS when played properly are Barrage Artillerist, Igniter Sorc, and Empress Arcana. The class can stay at mid range and just dish out damage even if the guardian gets in your face you can just shield or use a ability with protection ruin or one of the build in shields in the damaging abilities. Just over all a really fun class, it’s like a male sorceress but doesn’t hit as hard and can actually take a few hits..
