This will bridge the switch circuit and make the welder feed. If it works, the problem is the gun, (tip, liner) and if it doesnt, the issue is somewhere else in your machine. 1 - locate mains contactor in machine - operate torch switch - does contactor operate ( you will hear it clearly ) 2 - if it operates check mains is live when contactor is energized ( high mileage units can have the contacts burned away or contaminated ) 3 - now check live is going up to the voltage selector switch.. It could possibly be that you liner is kinked from being coiled too tightly. Another thing to try first is when you are welding is keep the cable to the gun straight as possible.
